CEN Kolloquium: Soundscape studies in the laboratory: Uncovering the perceptual dimensions of road traffic noise
- Datum: 01.04.2025
- Uhrzeit: 15:00
- Vortragende(r): Stefan Weinzierl, Technische Universität Berlin
- Ort: Max-Planck-Institut für Bildungsforschung
- Raum: Open Campus Space
- Gastgeber: Center for Environmental Neuroscience
- Kontakt: sekkuehn@mpib-berlin.mpg.de

Using the example of a research project on the perception of road traffic noise, the lecture will present methods for the acoustic description of sound in urban space and for the production of ecologically valid laboratory stimuli for such soundscapes.
Stefan Weinzierl is head of the Audio Communication Group at the Technische Universität Berlin. His research activities are focused on audio technology, virtual acoustic reality, room acoustics, and soundscape research. He is coordinating a master program in Audio Communication and Technology at TU Berlin. With a diploma in physics and sound engineering, he received his Ph.D. in musical acoustics from TU Berlin.
