Wouter van den Bos has been awarded a Vidi grant by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research

The Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research (NWO) supports the work of experienced scientists.

Wouter van den Bos, researcher at the Center for Adaptive Rationality, has been awarded a Vidi grant by the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research. The grant is aimed at experienced researchers, and enables them to develop their own innovative line of research and to set up a research project over the next five years. In his project, Wouter van den Bos will investigate the social aspects of adolescent risk-taking. He is interested in the extent to which adolescents search for social information before making risky decisions and in who influences them the most. To address these questions, he plans to develop a new neuro-computational framework to investigate how social learning strategies develop across adolescence in peer networks.
