The report on findings of a University of Hildesheim study describes the Max Planck Institute for Human Development (MPIB) in the 1960s and 1970s as part of a “network” in which “pedophile viewpoints were accepted, supported and defended”. The founding director of the MPIB, Hellmut Becker, is mentioned several times in this context. Sebastian Grüneisen, Postdoc at the Center for Adaptive Rationality has been awarded a Starting Grant by the European Research Council (ERC). With the ERC Starting Grant, the European Union is supporting promising scientist at the beginning of an independent career with up to 1.5 million euros. more

Odette Wegwarth, Senior Research Scientist in the Center for Adaptive Rationality, has been awarded a Heisenberg Professorship by the German Research Foundation (DFG). more

The prize was first bestowed by the German Academy for Language and Literature in 1964. It is granted to scholars who publish in German and contribute decisively to the development of language usage in their fields of study through outstanding linguistic style. more
