The Gender Equality Officer at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development monitors and supports the implementation of these goals and is the contact person for all questions regarding gender equity and gender sensitivity. She is involved in organizational, social, and personnel measures that concern gender equality, reconciliation of work and family life, and protection against sexual harassment and bullying in the workplace. A code of conduct defines the Max Planck Society’s policy of protection against sexualized discrimination, harassment and violence.
In order to achieve gender equity, the Max Planck Society promotes the implementation of family-friendly policies. In 2018, it received the Hertie Foundation’s berufundfamilie quality seal for the fifth time. In 2018, it received the Hertie Foundation’s berufundfamilie quality seal for the fifth time. The quality seal is awarded to employers for their achievements in implementing sustainable family-friendly practices and policies.
