Gerd Gigerenzer receives an honorary doctorate from the University of Southampton
With this award, the University recognizes individuals whose contributions are inspiring and globally recognized
Gerd Gigerenzer, Director Emeritus of the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and Director of the Harding Center for Risk Literacy at the University of Potsdam, has been awarded an honorary doctorate by the University of Southampton.
“I am very honored and privileged to receive this honorary doctorate from the University of Southampton. I hope that my research on decision making under uncertainty can help the scientific community and university leadership to make good decisions in these uncertain times,” says Gerd Gigerenzer on receiving the award.
The award of honorary doctorates recognizes individuals whose contributions and achievements are an inspiration and whose expertise is valued nationally and globally. The University of Southampton is one of the top 100 best universities in the world.
