Library and Research Information
The Library and Research Information of the Max Planck Institute for Human Development is a service facility for research work at the Institute. It is responsible for the analog and digital supply of information to researchers, for whom it also provides services like information research, information management, scientific publishing, and impact optimization.
The media offer includes printed and electronic media as well as information for basic research in the fields of adaptive rationality, developmental psychology, history of emotions, human-machine interaction, and related fields. This media and information offer is developed and maintained according to the research profile of the Institute. The collection currently comprises about 230,000 volumes, a considerable number of e-books, printed journals as well as many thousand electronic journals and numerous databases.
On the Digital Libraries Connected (DLC) platform the Max Planck Institute for Human Development makes selected digitized objects from its own library holdings and those of other institutions available online free of charge.
The library is open to the public as a reference library in accordance with our user regulations. Opening hours and contacts can be found on the left.
