Ute Frevert was elected as Chairperson of the Scientific Council
The Max Planck Society is Germany's most successful research organization
In February 2014 Ute Frevert, Director at the research center History of Emotions at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, was elected for three years as Chairperson of the Scientific Council of the Max Planck Society. The Scientific Council is divided into three sections—the Biology and Medicine Section, the Chemistry, Physics & Technology Section, and the Human Sciences Section—and discusses matters of common interest to the Sections, particularly those significant for the development of the Max Planck Society. The Scientific Council can apply to the Senate in these matters and make recommendations to the Sections.
