Odette Wegwarth was awarded the Dr. Lothar Beyer Prize 2016 by the German Society for General and Family Medicine

The prize is awarded for outstanding research in general medicine that contributes to the increase in competence relevant to general practitioners.

Odette Wegwarth, Adjunct Researcher at the Center for Adaptive Behavior and Cognition, was awarded the Dr. Lothar Beyer Prize 2016 (3rd place) by the German Society for General and Family Medicine (DEGAM). Together with clinicians and psychologists from the Phillips-Universität Marburg, the Charité–Universitätsmedizin Berlin, and the University of Konstanz, she investigated cognitive processes of primary care physicians underlying the search for a suitable diagnosis for their patients. This prize is awarded for outstanding research that greatly contributes to improve the expertise of primary care physicians.
