Markus Werkle-Berger, Senior Researcher at the Center for Lifespan Psychology, was awarded with an Early Career Research Fellowship 2017-2019 by the Jacobs Foundation. The foundation promotes researchers of all disciplines working on improving the development and living conditions of children and youth. With the fellowship, Markus Werkle-Bergner would like to  further advance his research on the connection between sleep and memory in childhood. He is examining whether sleep is as important for the stabilization of memory contents in children as it is in adults and which sleep-related interventions promote learning.
