Helen Ahner, researcher at the Center for History of Emotions, was elected as one of ten new members to “Die Junge Akademie” of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW) and the German National Academy of Sciences Leopoldina for the year 2024. Over the next five years, the cultural anthropologist will be able to participate in joint interdisciplinary research projects and working groups within the academy and contribute her expertise to the public scientific discourse. A budget is available for this purpose.

“Die Junge Akademie” is an interdisciplinary research forum for outstanding young scientists. It offers the opportunity to work at the interface of science, art, and society and to contribute their ideas for shaping the science system.
