Veronika Zilker receives the Heinz Heckhausen Prize 2022 of the German Psychological Society (DGPs)
Her dissertation was awarded the prize for young researchers.
Veronika Zilker, Postdoctoral Researcher at the Technical University of Munich and Associate Research Scientist in the Center for Adaptive Rationality at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, has received the Heinz Heckhausen Prize 2022 of the German Psychological Society.
In her award-winning dissertation, she explores how different theoretical and methodological approaches affect the scientific understanding of decision making under risk, and how such factors complicate the prediction of risky choice behavior. Veronika Zilker completed her dissertation in the context of the Max Planck International Research Network on Aging (MaxNetAging).
The Heinz Heckhausen Prize for Young Scientists is awarded to an outstanding dissertation in the field of psychology by the German Psychological Society.
