On 18-19 May, we hosted the Machine+Behavior Conference 2026. Taking place at the Harnack Haus, the event called researchers to collectively shape the research agenda on machine behavior, forge lasting ties within the community, and shape the narrative of our collective future with AI. more

On October 10, 2025, we organised a Symposium on Cross-Cultural Artificial Intelligence in collaboration with Hamad Bin Khalifa University, hosted at Der Divan. The Symposium explored one of today’s most significant questions: How do different cultures perceive AI, and how can we design technology that honours and reflects the cultural diversity of our world? more

Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Human and Machine Creativity took place on 2-4 July, 2025, at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development. Over the three days, the event created a space to exchange ideas, challenge assumptions, and envision new directions for understanding how both humans and machines shape creative expression. more
