Levin Brinkmann is a Research Scientist at the Center for Humans and Machines. His research investigates the increasingly deep integration of machines into human society, utilizing methods from complex systems, machine learning, and experimental social science. Before joining the center, Levin spent several years as a data scientist in the fashion and advertising industry, developing algorithms that inspired creative professionals. His current research integrates insights from game theory, collective intelligence, and cultural evolution to advance human–AI collaboration, aiming to foster productive and empowering human–machine coevolution. Levin's interests particularly focus on the influence of algorithms on human–machine cultural evolution.
