Wouter van den Bos has been awarded a Starting Grant by the European Research Council

With the ERC Starting Grant, the EU supports excellent young researchers.

Wouter van den Bos, researcher at the Center for Adaptive Rationality, has been awarded a Starting Grant by the European Research Council (ERC). ERC Starting Grants, which are funded by the European Union and worth up to €1.5 million, are awarded to outstanding early-career scientists. Wouter van den Bos will use the grant to set up his own lab at the University of Amsterdam, where he will investigate how social networks affect adolescents’ behavior and how the adolescent brain responds to social pressure.
