Laurel Raffington was awarded the Otto Hahn Medal 2019 for her doctoral thesis, which was written at the Center for Lifespan Psychology. Laurel Raffington, who is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Texas at Austin, investigated how socioeconomic inequalities may contribute to individual differences in children’s cognitive performance and academic achievement. Every year, the Max Planck Society honours young scientists and researchers with the Otto Hahn Medal for outstanding scientific achievements.
