Gerd Gigerenzer receives "Distinguished Educator Award" 2021
With this award, the "Society for Risk Analysis" honors individuals who have made a significant contribution to the education of new experts in risk analysis
Gerd Gigerenzer, Director Emeritus at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and Director of the Harding Center for Risk Literacy at the University of Potsdam, received the 2021 "Distinguished Educator Award". This award is presented annually by the "Society for Risk Analysis" (SRA) to an individual (teacher, author, or mentor) who has contributed significantly to the education of new experts in risk analysis.
The Society for Risk Analysis, founded in the United States, is an international, interdisciplinary, scientific society whose mission is to facilitate understanding and professional collaboration among individuals and organizations and to promote the dissemination of knowledge about risk, risk analysis methods, and their application.
