Gerd Gigerenzer and Gert G. Wagner have been appointed to the new German Advisory Council on Consumer Affairs

The committee is assigned to the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and brings together nine experts from science and practice.

Gerd Gigerenzer, Director of the Research Centre "Adaptive Behavior and Cognition," and Gert G. Wagner, a board member of the German Institute for Economic Research and Max Planck Fellow at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, have been appointed to the new German Advisory Council on Consumer Affairs. This Council should provide a stronger scientific foundation of consumer policy and provide important impulses for consumer education. The Council is assigned to the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection and assembles nine experts from science and praxis, who have a strong relation to consumer research and consumer themes. The Council will start its work in 2015.
