Ulman Lindenberger becomes a member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences

New member in the class of social sciences

Ulman Lindenberger, Director of the Center for Lifespan Psychology and Vice President of the Human Sciences Section of the Max Planck Society, has been elected foreign member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences in the Class for Social Sciences.

Founded in 1739, the Academy is an independent organization whose overall objective is to promote the sciences and strengthen their influence in society. The Academy has about 480 Swedish and 175 foreign members. They are divided into ten scientific disciplines, called classes. The members are also involved in the Academy's committees and panels, as well as in the processes of selecting candidates for the Academy's prizes–including the Nobel Prizes.
