Science Communication Medal 2022 for Gerd Gigerenzer
Award for scientists who have been particularly successful in communicating outstanding research results to the public
Gerd Gigerenzer, Director Emeritus at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development and Director of the Harding Center for Risk Literacy at the University of Potsdam, has been awarded this year's Science Communication Medal. The medal is awarded to scientists who have been particularly successful in communicating outstanding research results to the public. The medal has been awarded in the framework of the scientific lecture series (Wissenschaftsserie) at Göttinger Literaturherbst annually since 2014. The initiators are the Max Planck Institutes in Göttingen–including the MPI for Multidisciplinary Sciences, the MPI for Dynamics and Self-Organization and the MPI for the Study of Religious and Ethnic Diversity.
