Intimate Relationships

On this research we are explore the place emotions have held in the formation and disintegration of the intimacy shared between people. The projects trace transformations in the articulation and regulation of emotions through immediate social structures, most notably the family, but also groups of friends and peers. They also ask how the emotions of these relationships have rearticulated communal narratives and set new social and cultural patterns during major events, private and collective alike.
