Gerd Gigerenzer has been named Rothschild Distinguished Visiting Professor 2016

The guest professorships are donated by NM Rotschild & Sons.

Gerd Gigerenzer, Director of the Adaptive Behavior and Cognition research center, has been named Rothschild Distinguished Visiting Professor 2016 by the University of Cambridge for his work on probability and statistics and on risk communication in the fields of law and medicine. Thanks to an endowment from NM Rotschild & Sons, the Isaac Newton Institute invites outstanding mathematicians to visit each year. During his one-month stay, Gerd Gigerenzer will be participating in the program Probability and Statistics in Forensic Science.
