These propositions emphasize conceptual and methodological issues in the study of lifespan behavioral development, and thereby provide a general script for formulating research questions in more specific domains of interest.
The Center's six projects examine different facets of human development across the lifespan on the basis of its guiding propositions.
The Cognition, Brain, and Aging (COBRA) study is an international collaboration between three institutions in Sweden and the Center for Lifespan Psychology at the MPI for Human Development in Berlin. It has attained the world’s first direct longitudinal evidence on the role of dopamine in the aging of brain and behavior in humans.
