Artist Pia van Nuland combines traditional techniques with modern themes: Her exhibition “In Between Myself” shows linocuts depicting the period of adolescence. Her work will be on display at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development from Friday, 5 Mai 2017.

The linocuts are based on a series of photographs in which Pia van Nuland, who was born in the Netherlands, portrays young people between 13 and 16 years of age. They are floating between childhood and growing up, moving between worlds, in a time bubble – in between themselves.
