In the article, Mengchen Dong, postdoc at the Center for Humans and Maschine, warns against this emotional attachment. She examines how the relationship between humans and machines is changing as a result of chatbots such as ChatGPT. Dong observes that young people in particular are increasingly sharing very private and stressful issues with AI, especially because the bots are available around the clock. In her opinion, there is a risk that chatbots could reinforce negative feelings instead of directing users to sources of help or ending the conversation.
