The goal of the Horizon 2020 “Lifebrain” consortium has been to harmonize, enrich, and fully exploit some of the largest longitudinal studies of age effects on brain, cognition, and mental health in Europe. Our focus has been on the effect, over time, of education, socioeconomic status, lifestyle factors such as sleep, physical activity, and diet on potentially enhancing and protecting brain structure and function. At the closing conference of the Lifebrain Horizon 2020 consortium, Lifebrain scientists will discuss their findings regarding the effect of these factors on cognitive and mental health throughout life, with invited keynote speakers setting the international context. This conference will gather international speakers from different disciplines including psychology, neurology, neuroimaging, psychiatry, genetics, molecular biology, and medicine. The event is organized by the EU Horizon 2020 project Lifebrain and the University of Oxford, Department of Psychiatry.
