Internships

The Center for Adaptive Rationality (ARC) offers internships for students. Placement is limited and highly competitive. We prefer students who have background experience and knowledge of our research areas. The goal of an internship is to provide students with a better understanding of the nature and content of the research conducted at the Center for Adaptive Rationality. The student will work on a well-defined task in close cooperation with a research scientist or post-doctoral fellow.

  • Internships are restricted to students (below master/diplom level) currently enrolled in a University (German or EU member country).
  • Duration: starting from 4 weeks up to 3 months
  • Payment:

   Full time internship: approx. 380 € per month;
   part time: approx. 250 € per month.

For specific questions please contact us via Email (see on the right for contact information).

How to apply?

Interested parties should submit a brief (maximum one page) letter, in English, describing their goals and interests along with their basic qualifications (e.g. school standing).  In order to be considered, this letter must describe how one’s course of studies would benefit from and fit within the ongoing research in the center.  Please also include the names of 2 or 3 potential mentors and identify your preference for an internship or research visit.

Please send any questions along with your application (preferable electronically) stating in which of our projects or research areas you are especially interested, your curriculum vitae (in English), high school diploma, and—if applicable—certificates from your university to the address of the person in charge.
