On this research area we investigate how emotions have shaped economic relationships and how those relationships have carried emotional expectations. The projects explore how emotions have been recruited for the rationalization of economic theories and regimes, as well as how they have fueled ideologies and practices of labor and consumption. They also focus on how workers have related emotionally to their work, including how their work has structured their lives.
