The research project RAVEN at the Max Planck Institute for Human Development, Berlin is looking for FSJ-W Intern (f/m/d) (6–12 months, 35 hours/week) to support a longitudinal study on memory development in children aged 4 – 10. In our study, we use behavioral and neuroimaging methods to investigate how children develop memory abilities across childhood.
This position is designed as a long-term, full-time internship and offers the opportunity to work independently on clearly defined sub-projects under close supervision by experienced researchers.
We offer:

- Monthly compensation of 470 €
- In-depth insight into all stages of developmental psychology research, including study preparation, data collection, and analysis
- Hands-on training in experimental design, study coordination, data management, and preliminary data analysis
- Close mentoring and the opportunity to develop an individual focus depending on skills and interests
- 2,5 Vacation days per month - Approximately 30 days of vacation for a 12-month assignment
- 25 Seminar days/ year - Mandatory attendance at the seminars required by law (25 days over 12 months)

We are searching for:
- Highly motivated, reliable and responsible person with very good English and native-level German skills
- Enjoy working with children
- Interest in developmental psychology/cognitive neuroscience
- Willingness to develop knowledge of programming languages (R, MATLAB, Python)
- Interest in data collection for psychological studies
- Perspective interest in working on the project for at least 6-12 months
The earliest possible entry date is September 1, 2026.
