Ute Frevert has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Tampere, Finland

Tampere University is one of the largest universities in Finland.

Ute Frevert, Director of the Center for the History of Emotions, has received an honorary doctorate from the University of Tampere, Finland. The Faculty of Social Sciences decided to honor Ute Frevert especially for her contribution to the study of the history of the emotions and her pioneering work in social history, gender history, and the history of masculinity. The title was awarded on 16 August 2018 in Tampere.
