A new study claims that our brains do not reach maturity until the age of 32. Ulman Lindenberger, director of the Center for Lifespan Psychology, warns against simplistic conclusions. He explains in the Tagesspiegel newspaper that studies such as this reflect average values and say little about individual people. He emphasises that the brain develops in a highly individual way in adulthood, meaning that no fixed biological turning points can be identified
