Research Management & Planning
The Research Management and Planning team provides a comprehensive range of services to scientists at all career levels and from all groups at the institute. Our vision is a scientific community that has all the free space it requires to conduct outstanding research. Our ambition is to provide this free space by offering the following services:
- Third-party funds: application, administration, and accounting for third-party-funded research projects
- International Office: comprehensive support for international colleagues, for example with visa applications, registration, health insurance, finding long-term housing, and childcare
- Research cooperations: legal review of contract texts in cooperation with the legal affairs department of the Max Planck Society‘s Administrative Headquarters
- Graduate education: coordination of the structured graduate schools, contact for all PhD students at the institute
- Junior research groups: central office for the varying junior research groups at the institute
- Max Planck Dahlem Campus of Cognition (MPDCC): organization of cross-group and cross-institutional collaboration in the field of cognitive neuroscience using the state-of-the-art laboratory infrastructure
- Scientific Advisory Board: preparation and organization of the Scientific Advisory Board meetings
- Institute-wide soft-skill trainings: information on training courses offered by the Planck Academy; organization of additional in-house training courses if necessary
