Application

Who can apply

The participants of the Summer Institute should be talented predoctoral students and postdoctoral fellows from around the world. We intend to provide stipends to all participants to cover part of their expenses for travel and accommodation, precise information on the stipends will be announced to the applicants at a later point in time.

How to apply

Applications should include an application letter (ca. 600-800 words), a CV, and one short letter of recommendation. The application letter should explain your interest in bounded rationality and a description of the relation that you see between your work and interests and the fast and frugal heuristics approach to bounded rationality proposed by the ABC research group (as laid out in Gigerenzer, Todd, & The ABC Research Group, 1999). All the material can be sent as PDF or .doc to the email address: Summerinstitute2012 [at] mpib-berlin [dot] mpg [dot] de. It is expected that you have read the articles on the right side in preparation for the summer institute.

APPLICATION DEADLINE

The Application deadline is on Sunday the 8th of April 2012. We will decide about the applications and send out invitation letters by the end of April 2012.
